Tenuta Tamburnin

Tenuta Tamburnin

Tenuta Tamburnin is a family estate at Castelnuovo Don Bosco, in the Asti hills of Basso Monferrato, about 20 km from Turin. The property dates to the late 18th century and has belonged to the sisters Elena, Valeria and Claudia Gaidano since 2004. Valeria and her father Piergiorgio run it full time, advised by the oenologist Gianpiero Gerbi of Cordero Consulting. Nine hectares of vines sit in a single block around the buildings at about 300 metres, on ferrous clay with red clays, with hazelnut groves, meadows and woods beyond. The farm has been classified as organic since 2020 and is a founding member of the Albugnano 549 Winemakers Association. The range is built on local varieties: Nebbiolo for Albugnano DOC, Freisa, Barbera and the old Malvasia di Schierano, plus a Chardonnay and a sparkling Clo. Castelnuovo Don Bosco is known as a land of saints and wine.
