Mustela

Mustela is a farm estate in Trezzo Tinella, in the Langhe hills near Alba, that has worked since 1978. It began as a small property planted only to Moscato and grew by acquiring new vineyards. The Mustela brand was born in 2003, when the estate started vinifying its own grapes, and today it covers nine labels. About 15 hectares are spread between Bric del Fuin and Passatore in Trezzo Tinella and Meruzzano in Treiso, on grey-blue marls mixed with sand and stone. Moscato d'Asti is the historic wine. It is joined by Barbaresco Karmico from Treiso, Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba, a Langhe Chardonnay, a Langhe white called Jovine, and a Vino Spumante di Qualità called Generi.

  • Generi: Vino Spumante di Qualità, Pinot Nero, Chardonnay, Sparkling. Sparkling wine from Pinot Nero and Chardonnay grown at Trezzo Tinella and Treiso, second fermentation in bottle and ageing on lees.
  • Jovine: Langhe DOC Bianco, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, White. White blend of Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Nero from Trezzo Tinella, partly fermented in barriques.
  • Karmico: Barbaresco DOCG, Nebbiolo 100%, Red. A full-bodied 100% Nebbiolo Barbaresco at 14.5% alcohol, fermented on the skins and aged 24 months in oak vats.
  • Langhe Chardonnay: Langhe DOC Chardonnay, Chardonnay, White. Chardonnay from Trezzo Tinella, vinified in stainless steel and aged 4 months on fine lees.

  • Mirus: Langhe DOC Rosso, Barbera, Pinot Nero, Nebbiolo, Red. Red blend of Barbera, Pinot Nero and Nebbiolo from Treiso, aged 18 months in barriques and small barrels.
