Col dei Venti

Col dei Venti

Col dei Venti is a family winery in Castiglione Tinella, in the hills between the Langhe and Monferrato in the province of Cuneo. Ornella started the estate in 2003, after years working in her family's cellar and time spent abroad; today she runs it alongside her children, Ivan and Sara. She also paints, and designs every one of the estate's wine labels.

The vineyards are spread across several communes rather than one block: Nebbiolo destined for Barolo grows in La Morra and Serralunga, Nebbiolo for Barbaresco and for Langhe Nebbiolo comes from Neive, Barbera is picked in Castagnole Lanze and Vinchio, and Moscato and Brachetto grow around the home village of Castiglione Tinella. All the grapes are harvested by hand in small crates.

Castiglione Tinella lies at the heart of the Moscato d'Asti growing area, and Neive is one of Barbaresco's four historic communes.
