Amerio Vincenzo
Amerio Vincenzo is a family farm in Moasca, run today by Marco and Danilo Amerio with the fourth generation's parents, Vincenzo and Lorena. It began in the late 1800s, when grandfather Vincenzo worked five hectares of vines and fruit trees at Moasca; his son Angelo added cattle and started vinifying, and new vineyards bought in the early 1990s put the label on bottles across Italy. The vines now sit in four communes at the centre of the Nizza DOCG zone, farmed with organic fertiliser, grass cover and yield-limiting pruning, then picked by hand.
The range is led by Momburio, a Nizza, with Barbera d'Asti and Freisa d'Asti beside it, plus Nebbiolo, Pinot Nero, Chardonnay, Moscato, Arneis and a Brut. The cellar runs on rainwater recovery and solar power, and the family keeps the Ca del Nono agriturismo a few steps away. Moasca is a small Monferrato village in the province of Asti.
