460 Casina Bric
460 Casina Bric takes its name from the local dialect word for a hilltop farm and from its altitude. The vineyards sit between 420 and 500 metres in the highest part of the Barolo zone, 460 on average, where a cool, ventilated climate gives the wines freshness and colour. Gianluca Viberti makes them, with Nebbiolo at the centre. The range runs from Barolo del Comune di Barolo and single vineyards such as Bricco delle Viole, Fossati and Serradenari to Nebbiolo d'Alba sparkling rosé, Arneis and the Mesdì wines. Bottles use the Poirinotta, a historic shape dating back to the 1700s. Grapes are picked by hand into small 20 kg boxes.
