Etichetta Nera
By La Mesma, Gavi, Piemonte, Italy
From Monterotondo, Etichetta Nera is the estate's most vertical Gavi, vinified in temperature-controlled cement tanks and aged on the lees for at least a year. This south-facing vineyard overlooks the Fort of Gavi, with the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Guardia in the background.
Tasting notes
From Monterotondo, the most vertical of the estate's wines, with an intense, dry minerality and a very long finish. Rich and full on the palate, balanced by lively acidity and a salty note.

Once fermentation is complete, the wine rests on the noble lees for at least a year, with bâtonnage to bring the lees back into suspension.
