La Mesma
La Mesma is a family winery in the Gavi appellation, founded in 2001 by three sisters, Paola, Francesca and Anna, at their mother's insistence. The estate farms twenty-five hectares of Cortese vines, fifteen in Monterotondo, a prestigious cru in the heart of the Gavi DOCG appellation, and ten in the municipality of Tassarolo. It is a certified organic winery: soft farming practices include green manuring, soft pruning using the Simonit and Sirch method, constant presence in the vineyard, no weeding or chemical fertilizers, and propolis as an antibotritic. The winery also uses a photovoltaic system for clean energy.

- Etichetta Nera: Gavi DOCG del Comune di Gavi Monterotondo, Cortese, White. From Monterotondo, Etichetta Nera is the estate's most vertical Gavi, vinified in temperature-controlled cement tanks and aged on the lees for at least a year. This south-facing vineyard overlooks the Fort of Gavi,…
- Indi: Gavi del Comune di Gavi DOCG, Cortese, White. Indi is the estate's flagship, a Gavi DOCG del Comune di Gavi Monterotondo made with spontaneous fermentation from indigenous yeasts using a pied de cuve technique developed by Francesca since 2015. The name honours…
- Indi con le Bolle: Vino Frizzante Bianco, Cortese, Sparkling. Indi con le Bolle is a Pet Nat, an ancestral-method sparkling wine made with spontaneous fermentation from indigenous yeasts.
- Le Rose: Gavi DOCG, Cortese, White. A versatile Gavi DOCG from red clay soil, made with minimal cellar intervention to let the wine express its terroir.
- Millesimé Pas Dosé: Millesimato Pas Dosé Gavi Spumante DOCG Metodo Classico, Cortese, Sparkling. A vintage-dated (Millesimato) Metodo Classico Pas Dosé Gavi Spumante DOCG made from pure Cortese grapes, produced entirely at the estate from first fermentation through disgorgement, with lees aging from 24 to 120…
- Spumante Demi Sec Metodo Classico: Spumante Demi Sec Metodo Classico, Cortese, Sparkling. A Traditional Method (Metodo Classico) Demi Sec sparkling wine made from pure Cortese grapes, for sweet moments and dessert pairing.
- Tempo al Tempo: Gavi DOCG del Comune di Gavi, Cortese, White. Tempo al Tempo is a Gavi DOCG del Comune di Gavi library release from white, poor soil, aged in bottle to let long aging enhance Gavi's characteristics. The label depicts an 'umarell', a Bolognese-dialect term for old…
- Vigna della Rovere Verde: Gavi Riserva DOCG, Cortese, White. The estate's Riserva, from an old south-facing vineyard on red soil at 300m in Tassarolo, overlooked by a monumental Green Oak, aged about 12 months in tank plus further bottle ageing.
