Red
Bona
By I Dof Mati, Alto Piemonte, Piemonte, Italy
Bona is I Dof Mati's 100% Vespolina, ruby red with peppery spice and fresh cherry aromas. Its name honours Bona of Savoy, who helped broker peace between the Sforza and Savoy families at Ghemme in 1467.
Tasting notes
Ruby red, with the variety's unmistakable peppery spice and intense aromas of fresh fruit: sour cherry and cherry. Fresh and soft on the palate, with spiced notes alongside red fruit and floral hints.
Pairs well with
Excellent with cured meats and local cuisine, first courses, flavourful meats and cheese.
