Arione
By Giacomo Conterno, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Arione sits beside the Francia vineyard and, since 2015, a portion of its fruit has also gone into Monfortino in select vintages.
Tasting notes
Violets, herbal notes, spice and tobacco on the nose, with a palate that balances power and finesse. Similar soil character to Francia, but with a more southerly exposure.
