A 100% Nebbiolo Colline Novaresi from the Belvedere and Pianazze vineyards in Briona, aged about 6 months in 500-litre oak tonneaux.
Tasting notes
Ruby red. Intense, floral and pleasant on the nose. Full, velvety and harmonious on the palate.
Pairs well with
Slow-cooked red meats, rich first courses and aged cheeses.

- 3 hectares in the Belvedere and Pianazze vineyards in the municipality of Briona, on a plateau warmed by the sun from early morning to sunset.

- Surface clay with pebbles and sand in the deeper layers.
- Exposure
- Full sun from early morning to sunset; Monte Rosa air currents bring temperature swings that enhance the grapes' aromas.
- Harvest
- Late September to early October.
- Vineyard planting
- Planted 1997/1998, Guyot-trained.
- Vinification
- Hand-picked in about 20 kg crates. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks with macerations of varying length; the different batches are blended after ageing in wood. After racking, the wine ages in 500-litre oak tonneaux for about 6 months, then returns to glass-lined cement tanks to settle its last sediment before bottling in August or September of the year after harvest.
