Sweet
Piasa Rischei
By Forteto della Luja, Asti, Piemonte, Italy
The wine that founded the estate's modern story: a late-harvest Moscato Passito revived in 1985 from the family's old recipe, which led to the creation of the Loazzolo DOC in 1992, the smallest municipal appellation in Italy. Sold in 37.5 cl bottles.
Tasting notes
Deep yellow with golden highlights. Rich, ripe apricot fruit over the Moscato core, with spice and toasted notes. Creamy and sumptuous on the palate, sweet yet lifted by fresh acidity, with almond, spice and citrus, and a long finish of vanilla and white chocolate.
Pairs well with
A meditation wine. Blue cheeses, goat cheeses, aged cheeses such as Castelmagno and Robiola di Roccaverano, foie gras, dry pastries.
