White
Sette Gennaio
By Cascina Lanzarotti, Roero, Piemonte, Italy
The estate's longest-aged Roero Arneis Riserva, from 40-year-old vines on the Sant'Anna cru with five to six years in bottle before release.
Tasting notes
Very intense straw yellow, with white-flower notes joined by flint and petrol notes from long ageing. A warm, decisive attack on the palate with a savoury, very persistent finish; the wine's longevity shows in its fresh, well-balanced acidity.
