White, sandy silt loam, moderately calcareous, young soil on sandy Sant'Agata Fossil Marl in transition to Diano Sandstone (about 9 million years old, Tortonian).

Vineyard planting
Vineyards planted 1969 and 2002
Vinification
Fermentation and maceration in stainless steel for about three weeks at a controlled temperature; spontaneous malolactic fermentation in wood. Aged about 30 months in cask.
