Marello
Marello is a family farm run by Raffaella and Maurizio Marello at Oriolo, the oldest hamlet of Montelupo Albese, between Diano d'Alba and Sinio on the right bank of the Talloria stream. The core is a Dolcetto vineyard that belonged to Maurizio and Raffaella's maternal grandfather and his brothers, planted in the mid-1950s, with some rows over a century old. Nebbiolo, Barbera and the white Nascetta were added over the years, and Arneis arrived with the 2025 harvest. Vineyards face south-west on steep slopes, and the estate takes part in The Green Experience sustainability project and belongs to FIVI, the independent growers' association. Montelupo Albese is a small village in the Langhe hills of the Cuneo province, within reach of Alba, where the family pours at the Saturday Mercato della Terra.
