Fratelli Seghesio

Fratelli Seghesio

Fratelli Seghesio is a family estate in Monforte d’Alba. Brothers Aldo and Riccardo released their first Barolo under the Seghesio name in 1988, and today Riccardo works alongside his nephews Michela, Sandro and Marco, who share the work in vineyard, cellar and office. The estate farms 12 hectares and bottles about 60,000 bottles a year, all from its own grapes, under the SQNPI integrated production scheme.

The winery sits in Castelletto, on the eastern side of the village facing the Serralunga hill. The range is eight wines from four grape varieties: Dolcetto d’Alba, two Barberas, a Merlot-Cabernet-Nebbiolo blend called Bouquet, Langhe Nebbiolo, two Barolos from the Castelletto cru (the classic and La Villa) and Rapui, a white from Incrocio Manzoni added in 2020. Monforte is one of the communes of the Barolo denomination.
