Ferro
Ferro is a family farm in Agliano Terme, in the Asti hills where the Langhe and Monferrato meet, worked by the same family for more than three generations. Ten hectares of vineyards face south and are farmed under Piemonte's Ecologically Controlled Agro-environmental programme, with grapes hand selected again at harvest before pressing. The cellar keeps to traditional methods while sorting fruit more carefully for today's market. Alongside varietal Barbera, Dolcetto and Grignolino, the estate bottles named cuvees such as Roche, taken from the hillside vineyard of that name, and Tre Lune, a barrique-aged Nebbiolo. Agliano Terme sits in Barbera d'Asti country, part of the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato vineyard landscape that UNESCO named a World Heritage Site in 2014.
