Cascina Melognis

Cascina Melognis

Cascina Melognis is a small family estate run by Michele Fino and Vanina Maria Carta in Revello, in the Saluzzo area of the province of Cuneo. They started making wine in 2008 and farm a few hectares of vines in and around Revello and Saluzzo, at 350 to 500 metres. The oldest vineyard dates from 1947. The work centres on varieties traditional to the area: Pelaverga Grosso, Barbera, Chatus and Pinot Noir. The range includes the Pelaverga Divicaroli, the Barbera and Chatus blend Ardy, the Barbera and Pinot Noir blend Novamen and the Sinespina rosato. Farming is organic, certified from the 2023 vintage, and the harvest is by hand. Revello sits at the foot of Monviso, and its wines fall under the Colline Saluzzesi DOC, in the far northwest corner of Piemonte.
