Gattinara DOCG Riserva made from 100% Nebbiolo grown on old vineyards in Gattinara with an average vine age of 40 years, partly hand harvested due to the steep terrain. Warm, dry and austere on the palate with soft, balanced tannins.
Tasting notes
Garnet red colour with orange reflections. Bouquet of roses and violets, dried figs, liquorice and spices. Warm, dry and austere in the mouth, with soft, balanced tannins.

Venison and game, red meat and mature cheeses

- Old vineyards located in Gattinara, with an average vine age of 40 years, worked partially by hand due to the steep terrain and narrow row spacing. Guyot training method, manual harvest in 20kg boxes, yields of about 60 quintals per hectare.
- Vinification
- Vinification in stainless steel. Maceration on the skins for 30 days with delestage and manual punching down (follature). Malolactic fermentation completed naturally in stainless steel. Aged 12 months in tonneaux, then 24 months in large oak barrels, then 12 months in steel tanks.

- 18-20°C
- Storage
- Aging potential of 15 years or more, classic of Alto Piemonte. Best kept lying down horizontally in a cool, dark place.
