Red
Gamvs
By Mossio Fratelli, Langhe, Piemonte, Italy
The estate's top Dolcetto d'Alba Superiore, from the Gamvs cru, a single vineyard planted in the early 1960s and aged in large oak barrels.
Tasting notes
Deep, barely translucent ruby red. Intense, clean, refined aromas of cherry, plum and blueberry, followed by violet, blackberry, strawberry, carob, vanilla and mint. Matches the nose on the palate, with a rightly tannic attack well balanced by the alcohol, good body and intense flavours; a persistent finish recalls cherry, plum and blueberry.
Pairs well with
Cheeses, cured meats and meat dishes.
