A single-cru Barbaresco from the Rio Sordo vineyard, macerated on the skins for 30 to 35 days and aged about 20 to 22 months in large Slavonian and Swiss oak barrels.
Tasting notes
Bright, transparent garnet red, clean and clear dark fruit, sweet spices, Mediterranean scrub and undergrowth. Dense, substantial tannin, good structure and depth, elegant and austere, with a long final persistence.

Perfect for pairing with substantial main courses and aged cheeses.

- Marine-origin soil from the Tertiary era, bluish marl at a depth of 1 to 3 metres, calcareous, compact structure, with dense, varied stratification rich in mineral salts and natural springs.

- Vinification
- Grapes are hand-picked and gently pressed by machine so the stalks stay whole and the seeds are not crushed. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in steel tanks, with skin maceration of about 30 to 35 days with a submerged cap. The wine is then aged for about 20 to 22 months in large, untoasted oak barrels before bottling on a waning moon, unfiltered and unclarified.
