Red
Barolo
By Bartolo Mascarello, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Bartolo Mascarello's single Barolo has been co-fermented from the same five vineyards for generations, a deliberate rejection of the single-cru bottlings that became fashionable elsewhere in Barolo.
Tasting notes
A kaleidoscope of classic Nebbiolo aromas: rose, tar, liquorice, anise and dried herbs over juicy crushed cherry and raspberry. Silky and beautifully balanced on the palate, with integrated tannins and remarkable ageing potential.
