Minerdi

Minerdi

Minerdi is a family label run by brothers Umberto and Simone Minerdi, who took over the vines their father Flavio chose to believe in. Umberto looks after the wine, Simone the vineyards, and the work is done by hand with little intervention in the cellar. The farming is certified SQNPI, and the range is a short, numbered list of six bottles: Barbaresco Serracapelli, Derthona Timorasso, Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbera d'Asti, Langhe Chardonnay and a varietal Syrah.

The estate is based at Farinere in Castagnole delle Lanze, in the Asti hills, and its vineyards run along the ridge toward Neive, where Langhe and Monferrato meet. Sant'Agata marl shapes the Langhe side, while clays and sands mark the Monferrato side. Neive is one of the Barbaresco villages.
