Giuseppe Stella
Azienda Agricola Stella was founded around 1920 in Costigliole d'Asti by Domenico Stella, who was also a music teacher, and its Giaiet red and white are dedicated to him. Today Giuseppe Stella runs the family estate with his sons Massimo and Paolo. About twelve hectares are planted to Barbera, Dolcetto and Grignolino among the reds and Cortese, Chardonnay and Moscato among the whites, with Freisa as well. Every wine is a single variety or a blend of native Piedmont grapes. Barbera is the focus: Stravisan, Giaiet and Il Maestro each come from a named plot or selection. The cellar bottles roughly 35,000 to 40,000 bottles a year.
