Fratelli Rabino

Fratelli Rabino

Fratelli Rabino is a family estate in Santa Vittoria d'Alba, in the Roero. The story starts in 1907, when the family bought Cascina Valle Spinzo, a farm that had belonged to the Savoy. In 1960 the brothers Tommaso and Vincenzo took the estate in hand and produced the first bottle under the Rabino name. Today the fourth and fifth generations run it: Andrea is the winemaker, his wife Annalisa is the family's anchor, and their three daughters Francesca, Chiara and Agnese have worked in the cellar since 2010.

The vineyards grow Arneis, Favorita, Moscato, Barbera and Nebbiolo. The estate has had an eco-sustainable certification since 2014, ferments with yeasts selected in 2015 from its own grapes, and ages its reds in 50 hl oak barrels without filtration. The range goes from Roero and Roero Arneis to Censo and Ne di Ne, two sparkling wines. Santa Vittoria d'Alba lies north of Alba, on the left bank of the Tanaro.
