Emilio Vada

Emilio Vada

Emilio Vada is a family farm in Coazzolo, on Via Osasca, where the farm's best-exposed plots have passed from one generation to the next. The village sits on the line where Moscato country meets Nebbiolo country, and the cellar reflects both sides: Moscato d'Asti is the anchor, joined by Dolcetto d'Alba, Langhe Nebbiolo and Barbera d'Asti. The range is six wines. Two Nebbiolos, Cua Rusa and the barrique-aged L'Erth, sit next to a plain Barbera d'Asti and Ansii, its Superiore, which spends a year in French oak. Dolcetto goes by the name Amaranto and the Moscato is called Campbianc. Most of the reds are fermented and held in stainless steel and bottled in April and May. Coazzolo is a small village in the province of Asti, inside the area the producer places within the UNESCO-listed wine landscapes.
