Azienda Agricola Negretti
Negretti is a family estate in Santa Maria, a hamlet of La Morra, and it counts its history in couples: great-grandparents Anin and Minot started it early in the last century, grandparents Adriana, known as Dadà, and Giovanni carried it on, then parents Maurizio and Graziella, and now the current generation.
The range sticks to three grapes, Nebbiolo, Barbera and Chardonnay, with Barolo at the top. The family farms vineyards in La Morra, Roddi, Verduno and Monforte d'Alba, and the Barolos include single-vineyard bottlings from Rive in La Morra, Bricco Ambrogio in Roddi and Monvigliero in Verduno, plus a Riserva from Bricco Ambrogio. Lighter wines come under the Screwies line. La Morra is one of the eleven communes of the Barolo DOCG, and its hills are part of the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato UNESCO site listed in 2014.
