Red
Tranvaj
By Tommaso Bosco, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
Pure Slarina, an old Monferrato variety nearly abandoned for a century, replanted in 2019 and aged 12 months in barriques.
Tasting notes
Intense ruby red. Aromas of orange peel, cinchona bark (china), spice and red fruit. Moderately tannic with good structure, balanced and persistent acidity, ripe red fruit and a balsamic finish with fresh menthol and eucalyptus notes.
Pairs well with
Red meat and cheeses
