Monsignore

By Monsignore, Alta Langa, Piemonte, Italy

Monsignore Monsignore

Monsignore is Giuseppe Blengini and Roberta Ceretto's pioneering Metodo Classico, made from equal parts Pinot Nero and Chardonnay grown at 600m in Vicoforte. Its label was designed by artist Francesco Clemente, its Spartan helmet motif a nod to the wine's high-altitude origins.

Tasting notes

Fine and persistent perlage, creamy and enveloping in the mouth. Floral aromas meet notes of vanilla, with a fresh, persistent palate supported by the 4g/L dosage. An Extra Brut suited equally to the table or a characterful aperitif.

Pairs well with

Piedmontese appetizers such as vitello tonnato.
