Sterlino

By Fabio Fidanza, Asti, Piemonte, Italy

Fabio Fidanza Sterlino

Barbera d'Asti Superiore from the estate's oldest vineyards in Calosso, aged in small oak barrels. The producer says it can evolve for several years.

Tasting notes

Very intense ruby red with violet reflections, turning garnet with age. Elegant, complex bouquet of ripe fruit, vanilla and tobacco. Very warm and broad on the palate, with great structure and balanced tannins. Savoury, very persistent finish.

Pairs well with

Roast red meats, stewed game and aged cheeses
