Terre di Sarizzola

Terre di Sarizzola

Terre di Sarizzola is a family farm in Sarizzola, a hamlet of Costa Vescovato in the Colli Tortonesi, in the province of Alessandria. The Penacca family has grown vines here since the second half of the 1800s, and Mattia Bellinzona, who studied viticulture and enology in Milan, joined in 2008. All the wines come from the estate's own vineyards in Costa Vescovato, certified organic since 2021 and farmed with integrated methods before that. The range centres on Timorasso, bottled as Derthona and as the single-vineyard Biancornetto, alongside Favorita, Barbera, blends of local reds and a rosé ancestrale. The farm also raises free-range pigs and cures its own salami in cellars dating to the 1300s. Timorasso is the white grape of the Tortona hills, once nearly lost and now the area's calling card.
