Il Rocchin
Il Rocchin is a family estate near Gavi, in the Alessandria hills of south-eastern Piemonte, founded by the Zerbo family. Bruno runs it with his children Angelo and Fra Rocchina. The estate covers 100 hectares, 44 of them under vine, on calcareous clay soils with thin layers of sand. Cortese leads the plantings and goes into the Gavi wines, from the Gavi DOCG to the Gavi del Comune di Gavi and the Il Bosco bottling. The vineyards also stand at Castelletto d'Orba and San Cristoforo, between about 210 and 270 metres. Alongside the Cortese whites, the cellar makes Barbera del Monferrato, Dolcetto di Ovada, a Monferrato Nebbiolo, a Barbera rosato, a Charmat Brut and a sweet Moscato called L'Ameè.

Visits run on Friday and Saturday and must be booked, with the day and time agreed directly with the family. The whole experience lasts about 90 min.
