Dante Rivetti

Dante Rivetti is a farming family from Neive with roots going back almost two centuries. In the early 1900s the family received licence number 16 for bottling wine in the province of Cuneo. Dante began bottling the best vineyards under the family name in the 1970s, and today his children Ivan, Katia and Mara run the estate. The family farms 55 hectares across Neive, Mango and Costigliole d'Asti, about 21 of them Nebbiolo for Barbaresco in the Neive MGAs Bricco di Neive, Bric Micca and Rivetti. Barbaresco Riservas from Bricco di Neive have been set aside since the 1980s. The range also covers Barbera, Dolcetto, Arneis, Chardonnay, Moscato, a Barolo and Pinot Nero metodo classico. Since the early 2000s the vineyards have been managed sustainably, with mowing instead of chemical weeding and organic manure. Neive is one of the Barbaresco communes, set in the Langhe hills that are a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The estate is on Bricco di Neive, in the Barbaresco hills. Visits and tastings run by appointment, seven days a week, in a renovated tasting room with a wine shop below.
