Pescaja

Pescaja

Pescaja is a small family estate in Frazione San Matteo, just outside Cisterna d'Asti in the province of Asti. The Pescaja name and its triangular mark trace to Giuseppe (Beppe) Guido, who took over the family's vines in 2019.

From this pocket of Piemonte, Pescaja bottles a broad range of appellations: Roero Arneis DOCG, two Terre Alfieri DOCG whites (Solo Luna and Solei, both Arneis) alongside a Terre Alfieri DOCG Nebbiolo called Tukè, a Barbera d'Asti DOCG (Soliter), a Nizza DOCG (Solneri), a Monferrato Rosso DOC (Solis), a Piemonte DOC rosato (Le Flery) and a Spumante Brut (Exe). The Terre Alfieri Arneis Solo Luna was rated 99 points by critic Luca Maroni. Cisterna d'Asti sits on the eastern edge of the Roero, where it meets the Asti hills.
