Gilberto Boniperti

Gilberto Boniperti

Azienda Agricola Gilberto Boniperti is a small wine estate in Barengo, a village in the province of Novara in Alto Piemonte. Its motto is Sole. Terra. Tradizione, meaning sun, land, tradition. The wines on record are Colline Novaresi reds made from Nebbiolo, Barbera and Vespolina, a Fara called Bartön, and a rosé named Rosadisera. Barengo sits in the Novara hills, in the area covered by the Colline Novaresi and Fara appellations, where Nebbiolo is traditionally called Spanna and grows alongside Vespolina and Uva Rara. Soils in these hills are largely glacial in origin.
