Fratelli Novara

Fratelli Novara

Fratelli Novara is a family farm of about six hectares at San Matteo, a hamlet of Cisterna d'Asti, which the brothers call one of the smallest producers in the area. Brothers Antonello and Riccardo run it with their father Giuseppe, doing the vineyard work, the winemaking and the bottling themselves. Their grandfather Antonio once sold his grapes to the local cooperative and kept only a few bottles for family and friends.

Vines grow on the Vigna Bricco Forno and Vigna San Giuliano plots, and the range is six bottled wines: a Chardonnay, Terre Alfieri Arneis and Nebbiolo, Piemonte Bonarda, Barbera d'Asti and a Superiore. Each carries its own name on the label. Bulk wine and bag-in-box are also sold. Cisterna d'Asti is a hill village in the province of Asti, close to the Roero, and its wines fall under the Terre Alfieri and Asti appellations.
