- **Vinification:** Maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for about 25 days. Malolactic fermentation can take place. Aged in French oak barriques, 50% new and 50% second passage. Alcohol approx. 15% vol.
- **Serving temperature:** Serve in a large glass (Balon) at about 20°C
- **Storage:** Keep lying down in a dark place at a constant 12 to 14°C. Good ageing potential.

## Summary

The estate's namesake Barbera d'Asti Superiore, first made in 1996, from vineyards around the San Siro church; about 10,000 bottles a year.

## Tasting notes

Good pulp, ruby red with slight brick notes. Wide-ranging scent of ripe fruit, cocoa, spices and vanilla. Dry, robust, rich and persistent.
