- **Producer:** Roagna
- **Style:** Red
- **Denomination:** Barbaresco DOCG
- **Grape:** Nebbiolo
- **Cru / vineyard:** Albesani
- **Production area:** Municipality of Neive, Albesani MGA, at 240 m on the highest part of the hill, bordering Santo Stefano; the MGA was assigned in 2007.
- **Soil:** Calcareous clay rich in active limestone.
- **Vineyard planting:** Family-cultivated since 2014; part of the plot planted in the 1950s and part in the 1980s-90s, with old Nebbiolo vines about 50 years old, of massal origin.
- **Vinification:** Each vineyard is picked once the grapes reach full physiological maturity, judged by the ripeness of the pips; harvest is by hand into small crates, and the fruit is given two manual selections before vinification. Fermentation runs about ten days in wooden vats with a pied de cuve of indigenous yeasts, followed by an ancient submerged-cap maceration of about 60 to 70 days, then roughly five years of ageing in neutral oak and concrete vats.
