## Summary

Mosconi is a Monforte d'Alba cru split between a warm, calcareous, low-vigor south-facing half and a more vigorous east-facing half bordering a forest, giving velvety wines with fine tannins; the two parts are often harvested separately, days apart.

## Tasting notes

Potpourri, red fruit and berries, with a sweet and juicy mouth, spicy notes and orange peel; deep, lively and complex tannic texture with great volume.

## Food pairings

Baked rib steak with black pepper and spices (Italy), slow-cooked leg of lamb (UK), Delmonico steak and potatoes with grated cheese (USA), duck a l'orange with pak choy and lemongrass (Asia).
