## Summary

A single-vineyard Barbaresco from the Fratín plot in the Rizzi cru, directly opposite the winery, and the first vineyard the Piazzo family purchased, in the 1970s.

## Tasting notes

Colour: deep ruby red with hints of garnet. Nose: intense and complex, with fruity notes of jam and prunes, floral hints of violet, and vinous and spicy notes that become more ethereal with age. Taste: dry and warm, tannic, with great structure and lingering aromatic persistence.

## Food pairings

First courses, game, red meat, aged cheeses; also good with spicy fusion cuisine and by the glass
