## Summary

A Piemonte DOC Albarossa, a Barbera x Chatus cross first bred to unite the two varieties, from vines Marenco planted on a Strevi hilltop in 2001, among the first Albarossa plantings in Piedmont.

## Tasting notes

Deep ruby red leaning to garnet. Intense, enveloping, complex bouquet led by fruit, with nutmeg and other spice notes. Full, structured, persistent and harmonious on the palate.

## Food pairings

Cured meats, boiled meats, roasts, aged cheeses; suited to red meat, liver or offal cooked with herbs. Also pairs surprisingly well with braised, fried or grilled fish.
