## Summary

A red from old vines of Barbera, Chatus, Freisa, Bonarda and Neiretta Pinerolese, aged in steel. About 3,500 bottles a year, 12.5% to 13% vol.

## Tasting notes

Full ruby red with good transparency and lively reflections. Floral notes of violet and rose with red fruit. Soft and elegant, with the classic acidity of Assarti, good persistence, fruity echoes and delicate tannins (more assertive if drunk very young).

## Food pairings

All-round wine for typical Piedmontese starters, structured first courses such as agnolotti and meat dishes (younger bottles); braises, stews and roast red meats (more mature ones).
