## Summary

A 100% Nebbiolo from Assarti, aged about 18 months in large oak casks. About 5,500 to 6,000 bottles a year, 14% vol.

## Tasting notes

Ruby red with light garnet reflections, brilliant and slightly transparent. Floral notes of rose and violet, some dried, with wild strawberry, raspberry and cherry jam, spice (chocolate, clove, black pepper, nutmeg). Warm, with marked but soft tannins, savoury and fresh, with a persistent floral and balsamic finish.

Meat dishes with complex or savoury preparations such as braises or game; aged cheeses such as Castelmagno (not blue cheeses).
