## Summary

A 100% Barbera from Assarti, aged about 12 months in steel. About 3,500 bottles a year, 13.5% to 14% vol.

## Tasting notes

Garnet red with lively ruby reflections. Floral notes of violet and rose with red fruit, blended with ageing notes. Soft and elegant, with the variety's classic acidity, good to very long persistence, fruity echoes and delicate tannins (more assertive in younger vintages).

## Food pairings

Structured first courses such as agnolotti or cannelloni, boiled meats and meat dishes in general for younger bottles; braises, stews and roast red meats for more mature ones.
