## Summary

The Nizza DOCG Riserva bottling from the Vignali-Rocche cru, requiring 100% Barbera grapes and a minimum ageing of 30 months, at least 12 in oak. Can age 10 to 15 years.

## Tasting notes

Deep ruby red with a purple shade at the rim, veering to garnet with a few years of ageing. Nose of stone fruit, strawberries, violets, vanilla, almonds, balsamic and Mediterranean scrub notes, occasionally smoky and mineral. Tasty and full bodied, sometimes with good acidity; slightly astringent tannins when young but never overpowered by oak thanks to its structure.

## Food pairings

Red and grilled meats, game, roasts, cheeses and soups.
