## Summary

Zerbo is Daglio's Croatina, a grape once blended into Barbera locally and since revived by Tortona growers for its aromatic, balsamic character; ageing gives a full-bodied, persistent, tannic wine.

## Tasting notes

A lively purple rim recalling wild cherry and raspberry, joined on the nose by balsamic herbs. On the palate the tannin is evident but ripe.

## Food pairings

Red meat and mushroom dishes.
