# Negher (Giovanni Daglio)

> Sweet, Vino Rosso by [Giovanni Daglio](https://ilvinobello.com/wineries/giovanni-daglio.md), Colli Tortonesi, Piemonte, Italy. From Il Vino Bello (https://ilvinobello.com/wines/giovanni-daglio-negher).

- **Producer:** Giovanni Daglio
- **Style:** Sweet
- **Denomination:** Vino Rosso
- **Grape:** Negher 100%
- **Vinification:** A partially fermented grape must. Vinified in temperature-controlled steel tanks, relying on cold alone to preserve the wine's aromas; skin contact is kept to a minimum to protect the grape's fruity character, and fermentation is interrupted to leave an intensely fruity dessert wine.

## Summary

Negher is made from a grape once grown only marginally in the Colli Tortonesi and revived by the Daglio estate; despite the variety's dark, thick-skinned berries the wine itself comes out pale and rosé-coloured.

## Tasting notes

Pale ruby colour, the same shade as a tea rose petal, whose scent dominates the nose. Sweet and lively on the palate.

## Food pairings

Small dry pastries, for festive occasions.
