- **Producer:** Giovanni Abrigo
- **Style:** White
- **Denomination:** Langhe Favorita DOC
- **Grape:** Favorita 100%
- **Production area:** Blend of grapes from three vineyards in the municipality of Diano d'Alba.
- **Soil:** Clay and limestone with layers of compact sand and grey sandstone.
- **Exposure:** Mixed exposures, mainly north-easterly with north-westerly and south-westerly plots, altitude 300 to 400 m a.s.l.
- **Harvest:** Slightly early, by hand, vineyard by vineyard, into crates, in the first few days of September.
- **Vineyard planting:** Espalier vineyards with Guyot pruning, average density 4,000 to 4,300 vines per hectare. Giorgio Abrigo began tending the estate's Favorita rows in 1990.
- **Vinification:** Whole bunches are soft-pressed with a pneumatic press, using only the first, free-run juice, then fined by flotation at low temperature and racked directly. Ferments in pressurised stainless steel tanks at 15 to 17°C for about 20 days, with carbonation towards the end of primary fermentation in closed tanks, giving the wine its natural spritz. Rests on the fine lees, with no malolactic fermentation, for at least three months in bottle before release.
