- **Vinification:** Soft crushing, then fermentation with indigenous yeasts for about 15 days in temperature-controlled wooden vats, with regular pumping over, followed by medium-long maceration with the submerged cap technique. Racking and malolactic fermentation follow. The wine ages 20 to 24 months in oak barrels, then rests a few months in concrete tanks before bottling.

## Summary

A single-vineyard Barolo from Gattera, the oldest vineyard on the estate, in the lower part of La Morra. First released in 1977 as Gattera dell'Annunziata.

## Tasting notes

Ruby red with brick red highlights. Traditional bouquet with scents of ripe fruit and chocolate. Full-bodied with excellent structure and elegant, very persistent tannin.
