- **Exposure:** Full sun from early morning to sunset; Monte Rosa air currents bring temperature swings that enhance the grapes' aromas.
- **Harvest:** Late September to early October.
- **Vineyard planting:** Planted 1997/1998, Guyot-trained.
- **Vinification:** Hand-picked in about 20 kg crates. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks with macerations of varying length; the different batches are blended after ageing in wood. After racking, the wine ages in 500-litre oak tonneaux for about 6 months, then returns to glass-lined cement tanks to settle its last sediment before bottling in August or September of the year after harvest.
