## Summary

Once widespread in the Langhe before Nebbiolo took over for Barolo and Barbaresco, Freisa is now a rarity; Dosio still grows it, selecting the grapes carefully and ageing the wine in oak.

Intense ruby red; complex notes recalling red berries, tobacco and pepper, with a floral, rose-like note emerging after a few minutes; a persistent, tannic palate that, with the wine's structure, makes it soft and inviting.
